Tour: Danube quay, National Graveyard at Fiumei út, Retro Museum in Szentendre, a ’langosh’ (fried dough) at the stand on the Danube river bank
First we drive our classic car along the banks of the Danube (a UNESCO World Heritage site) with spectacular, panoramic views of the historical bridges, Margaret Island, the Parliament, Buda Castle and Gellért Hill.
Then we will discover the tombs of Hungary’s great historical figures (ie Kossuth Lajos, Endre Ady and heroes of the 1956 revolution) while taking a walk around the beautiful, green Fiumei út Graveyard (one of the most important cemetries in Budapest and often called the National Graveyard).
Our next stop will be the Retro Design Centre in the picturesque town of Szentendre (close to Budapest and nestled on the banks of the Danube). The Retro Design Exhibition is one of the country’s most exciting retro exhibitions. It’s 1000m2 indoor and outdoor exhibition depicts socialist life in the ’70s and ’80s. Cars, scooters, bikes, a car repair shop and a completely furnished flat will transport you back in time.
The price includes entrance fee to the Retro Design Centre as well as a Langos (fried dough) on the banks of the Danube.
